AHD Data Policy
Animal Health Data ("us", "we", or "our") operates the https://animalhealthdata.com.au/ website (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of business data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data. The Data Policy for Animal Health Data has been created with the help of TermsFeed.
We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Data Policy, the terms used in this Data Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible from https://animalhealthdata.com.au/
Data Collection
Animal Health Data collects, stores and processes data supplied by feedlots and (when authorised) from third parties such as MSA, NLIS, and processing plants.
The supplied data form the feedlot is deidentified at the feedlot source before transmitting to Animal Health Data to protect the identity of the feedlot.
The feedlot, and third party provided data, undergoes limited data integrity validation to ensure data is within acceptable data value ranges. Unacceptable data is rejected or where possible resubmitted from the feedlot, or third party data sources, with corrections made at the data source.
The ownership of all supplied data remains with the entity that originally supplied the data.
Data Management
Animal Health Data will not at any time, use or attempt to use any feedlot provided data in any manner which may cause injury or loss to the feedlot or in any manner other than that in which it was intended by the Animal Health Data service.
Any benchmarking or aggregated reporting that is made available to industry and for inclusion in benchmark reporting is de-identified and aggregated to a level to obscure the identification of the source of the data.
Where the feedlot reporting includes specific attributes for any grouping and that data is not provided by the feedlot, the data will be grouped as ‘Undefined’. An example is where the feedlot does not provide the ‘biological type’ for the animals that comprise a lot, the grouped aggregated reporting will be grouped as ‘Undefined’.
No manipulation or alteration of the supplied data is undertaken within the feedlot reporting or aggregation processing, other than attribute value range limiting. The aggregated reporting includes the population counts for the data (which is a count of the feedlot) and third party source provided data, that passes the integrity validation checks.
Data Security
Animal Health Data will take all such reasonable precautions as are necessary, to maintain the confidentiality of the feedlot provided data to prevent its disclosure directly or indirectly to any person, other than in accordance with this service.
Data Disposal
The feedlot can, through written request, require the deletion of specified data that has been supplied by the feedlot. Animal Health Data will formally notify the feedlot of the deletion of the specified data.
Data Transmission
Release of feedlot related data to any third party requires the written authorisation by an authorised feedlot representative specifying the data that may be released.
